Dear Parent/Guardian
1. SPORTS AND PUPLIC SPEAKING:
Our athletes performed very well in the cluster, district as well as in the provincial level. We wish to
thank all staff member, leaners and parents who supported us during this period. We have
obtained position 2 at a cluster level, 30 learners proceeded and represented us at the district level,
four learners advanced to the provincial level. We are very proud of our team 2025 athletes In the
public speaking competition, we have obtained position 3 in the best research paper, position 1
and 2 in the best public speaking in that we have obtained the overall position 3 out of 32 school at
the district level. This is a very good and a positive start for the year. A job well-done to all
educators and learners. We are very proud of you. Keep up the good work.
2. PHOTO SHOOT:
We have started with the 2025 photo shoot in that you are kindly reminded to pay R300.00 for the
package. Please deposit the money into the school account and bring the receipt to school as a
proof of payment. The package will be made available to you after the receipt is submitted to the
school. This brings good memories to the learners each year.
3. LEARNER CODE OF CONDUCT:
Please take note that girls are not allowed to wear trousers until further notice. NO SHORT SKIRT is
allowed at school. We have noticed that several girls in the school are cutting their skirts short.
Please check your child if this is not the case with her. You are reminded that a school blazer and a
tie are compulsory to every learner at the school. Please let’s start encouraging learners to wear
blazers every day. No haircut, dye or fancy hair style allowed. Boys’ hair must be short and neat.
The merits and demerits system will be in full swing in term two. Once a learner transgresses and
accumulate certain points, the learner will be sent to detention class. #ZIZOJIKIZINTO.
4. GRADE 12 MATTERS:
Grade 12 parents are encouraged to start paying R2000.00 for SSIP classes as agreed in the
meetings. Our intervention strategy is going very well with grade 12 learners who have started
adjusting to morning and afternoon classes. We are also noticing that Saturday classes are also
going well. Check your child’s timetable for this program. Please make us aware if your child is
attending at any other institution on Saturday. Please do so by writing us a letter explaining where
your child is attending to avoid learners not attending our classes and claiming to be attending at
other institutions.
5. SCHOOL EXCURSION:
On the 02nd May 2025, we will be having an excursion to Vanderbijlpark, Aqua Done. The excursion
is open to grade 8 to grade 12 learners. An amount of R550,00 is to be paid direct into the school
account before 25th April 2025.
6. ASSESSEMENTS FOR TERM ONE:
We are currently conducting and finalizing assessments for term one in grade 8 to grade 12. Please
check your child’s study timetable during the assessments. Please also check if your child has
completed SBAs for term one as this might impact negatively on his/her results. Report cards will
be issued to parents on 29th March 2025 from 8:00 up until 11:00. Please take note that NO report
card will be issued after 11:00. You are also reminded to bring R10:00 as a form of a donation to
school on the day the report cards will be collected. This is a standard practice to the school.
7. SADTU MEETING:
On Thursday 13th March 2025, SADTU will be having its Branch Triennial General Meeting at
Faranani in that majority of our teachers are SADTU members. The meeting will start at 12:00,
therefore, learners will be released at 11:30 on the day. Please make the necessary arrangement
for your child to be picked up early.
